Among the works performed this Friday by the United Instruments of Lucilin, there is one called: Hopla pour flûte et boules de pétanque. We at the Philharmonie like to think that we are music fans and that we love it in all its forms. But yes, some of us rolled their eyes and others giggled maniacally when reading the title of this work.
But it reminded us of Diego Stocco, an Italian composer and sound designer (read our previous post here). It turned out Stocco released a new video last week called Duet for leaves and turntable (found via Colossal). And you have to admit: once you start thinking like him, you realize that music really knows no boundaries. And you stop giggling.
