On Monday, we had the London Symphony Orchestra with Valery Gergiev and Janine Jansen. This was the first out of four concert dedicated to the Polish composer Karol Szymanowski. Remember that you can download our «Discover Szymanowski» app for free in the App-Store (Click here) and find out more about this great composer through videos (with Valery Gergiev, musicians of the LSO,…), podcasts and blog posts. You can also use the app with our evening programmes and with our special Szymanowski brochure.
On Tuesday, we had the second concert with the LSO:
Before the Tuesday concert, Maestro Gergiev and Philharmonie General Director Matthias Naske had a little chat in public.
On Wednesday the legendary Portuguese group Madredeus was our guest.
On Thursday, we had our first «Chill at the Phil» concert with the charismatic voice of Petra Magoni and the no less charismatic bass of Ferruccio Spinetti.
The weekend will be busy too. Three Philou concerts, one great concert on Saturday night with 78 musicians of the OPL playing Tchaikovski’s 4th Symphony with 65 students of the three Luxembourgish conservatoires, and the percussionists of the OPL playing an hommage to John Cage on Sunday morning.
Ready for week 42?
