The making of : Intolerance

More

Your review: “Liebestod” Impressions post concert and beyond

Last Saturday, 12 March 2011, I had the singular pleasure to attend a concert at the Philharmonie with a friend. We were both looking forward to the experience. A string orchestra sounding out in the ultimate surroundings: What more can one ask for?

On a quite personal level, I felt most open-minded, perhaps slightly nervous even, about the second act. Modern music? But such brand-new modern music!!? I held my breath. In retrospect, I am glad that I did not “expect” anything but a new experience. The subject being dealt with is timeless and usually a sure runner with any audience. More

Handschrift der Komponisten und vieles mehr

"Einsteins Violine - Ein musikalisches Sammelsurium" - Verlag C.H.Beck (www.beck.de) ISBN 978 3 406 60589 5

Your review : OPL – Repin

Emmanuel Krivine - Vadim Repin - OPL (photo Julien Becker)

This is the second review written by one person of the audience for our “Your review” category here on the blog. This time, Fulgencio shares his opinion on Saturdays concert with the OPL and Vadim Repin.
If you feel like writing a review on a concert you attended, don’t hesitate to share it with us!

Two Spanish-related works in the program, Alborada del gracioso from Maurice Ravel, Symphonie Spagnole from Édouard Lalo – would that mean that I should feel like at home? Difficult to say so, since at the useful backstage presentation I could More
